HIPAA Business Associate Agreement
As your professional liability carrier, TMLT is considered a business associate. HIPAA rules require that physician offices obtain assurances in writing that any business associate will appropriately safeguard any protected health information it receives or creates on behalf of the physician. To assist policyholders in complying with HIPAA rules, TMLT has developed this agreement. Policyholders are asked to sign the agreement and return it to TMLT. Signed agreements remain on file with TMLT.
