Updated cyber liability coverage

Cyber threats — including data breaches and ransomware attacks — require urgent attention and can quickly become catastrophic for your practice if not dealt with decidedly. Cyber liability coverage helps your practice survive these incidents by covering losses from cyber-related events. This coverage is included with every TMLT and LSA medical liability policy.

  • If you experience a cyber incident, report it to TMLT. After discussing it with a claims representative, you will work with a breach response team to help resolve the incident and a claim handling team to help recover damages.
     
  • There is no increased premium cost for this coverage; but effective with renewals after July 1, 2021, there will be a $2,500 per event deductible for cyber claims.
     
  • Limits on cyber coverage remain $100,000/$100,000 ($100,000/$500,000 for entities). If you would like  higher limits, please contact Cyber Consulting Services or call 800-580-8658 and ask for Cyber Consulting Services.
     
  • For dentists covered under LSA, the limits are $50,000 per claim/$50,000 per policy period.
