Update to policyholder payment options

Effective August 4, 2025, all credit and debit card payments will include a 2.99%* processing fee. To avoid the fee, switch to bank account draft (ACH) payments by logging into our members only portal and following the prompts.

 *2.99% fee subject to a minimum fee of $2.95

Why this change?

Over the past several years, the fees charged by credit card companies for transaction processing have steadily increased. This processing fee is being passed through to the policyholder and is a fee charged by thepayment card processing company for the use of its services. For those who pay premiums by installment plan, the fee will apply to each installment.

 
No-fee payment alternative

We understand this news may be unwelcome, especially given the significant cost of your premium. We want to assure you that we continue to offer a payment option that does not include this cost. There are no processing fees if you pay by electronic bank account draft (ACH).   

Your next steps

1. No action is needed if you wish to continue using your credit or debit card — the fee will automatically apply starting August 4, 2025.
2. To avoid the fee, switch to ACH payments by logging into our members only portal and following the prompts.
